INDUSTRIAL & COMMERCIAL PAINTING SERVICES

1. UGAM FIRE RETARDANT:

We are specialized in manufacturing Fire retardant coatings. Product widely being used as fire retardant for buildings, furniture, electrical appliances, electrical lines and near flammable area to avoid fire hazards. We have separate coatings for walls, wood, cable and steel. For steel we have different coatings for interior atmosphere and exterior atmosphere. The fire ratings of the coating depend on the thickness of the coating and are directly proportional to the thickness. Fire rating means the surface will be protected for that much time. These ratings are 30 minutes, 60 minutes, and 120 minutes or half hour, one hour and two hours. The purpose is for getting the time till help arrives to protect property and lives. These coatings require fire rated primer followed by fire retardant intermediate coating and then finally the topcoat on the top. Primer is applied in single coat and is different for different surfaces. Intermediate coating thickness is different for different ratings and different surfaces. The topcoat requires two coats. The topcoat is necessary for protection of intermediate coat and also for providing aesthetic value to the surface. We provide the test certificate for each batch we produce and the tests are done as per ASTM test procedures.

 

CASE STUDY:

 

COMPANY: M/S BARCLAYS TECHNOLOGY CENTRE PUNE.

 

PROBLEM REPORTED: Server room and H R documents store to be coated with fire retardant coating.

 

PROPOSED SOLUTION: UGAMCOAT 141098 for cabinets and UGAMCOAT 07022007 walls.

 

ACTION TAKEN: All walls in those areas were coated with UGAMCOAT 07022007 and file stores were coated with UGAMCOAT 141098.

 

RESULTS ACHIEVED: Coating was done in Feb 2008 and still intact. No problems noticed. No complaints received till date.

 

2. UGAM HEAT RESISTANT AND THERMAL INSULATION COATINGS:

Based on the heat resistant medium and after adding special additives and ceramic microspheres, UGAM thermal insulation coatings are manufactured for energy saving due to reducing heat losses from ovens, furnaces or refrigerators. These microspheres are used in manufacturing tiles used for exterior cladding of space shuttle. These coatings reduce energy from 10 to 20 percent in practical. The selection of coating is same as heat resistant coating selection. These coatings are named as UGAM INSULMIX, UGAM H R T I 200, UGAM H R T I 400, UGAM H R T I 600, UGAM H R T I 1200 and UGAM H R T I 1800.

 

CASE STUDY:

 

COMPANY: M/s  APOLLO TYRES LTD., VADODARA.

 

PROBLEM REPORTED: Heat leakages through lid of tyre press Causing   increased energy consumption and increase in shop floor temperature.

 

PROPOSED SOLUTION        : UGAM INSULMIX H R T I 400 Composite to be applied to lids of press and open areas where conventional thermal insulation is not possible.

 

ACTION TAKEN: Company purchased material and applied Themselves to all such areas proposed as per application instructions provided.

 

RESULTS ACHIEVED: Apollo Tyres Ltd. Has reported saving of 2 Kg steam per tyre after application of system suggested. Thereby achieving almost 12 percent saving in energy cost for press.

 UGAM HEAT RESISTANT:

General purpose coatings are not heat resistant. They get damaged, burnt, peeled off due to excessive heat. Hence special heat resistant coatings are used for protection of such surfaces. These coatings should be selected with respect to the maximum surface temperature. UGAM HEAT RESIST 200 is suitable for surface up to 170 degrees Celsius. UGAM HEAT RESIST 400 is suitable for surface from 170 to 350 degrees Celsius. UGAM HEAT RESIST 600 is suitable for temperature from 350 to 550 degrees Celsius. The coatings suitable above 350 degrees Celsius require curing at 250 degrees Celsius for one hour. UGAM HEAT RESIST 1200 is suitable for temperature between 550 and 1100 degrees Celsius and UGAM HEAT RESIST 1800 is suitable for temperatures between 1100 and 1800 degrees Celsius

CASE STUDY:

COMPANY: M/s. VERTEX INDUSTRIES, JABALPUR

PROBLEM REPORTED: Chimney having temperature around 700 deg C was Coated several times with many different heat resistant Coatings available from market but could not withstand more than more than four months.

 

PROPOSED SOLUTION: Application of UGAM H R 1200 heat resistant coating Up to 1200 degrees C was proposed.

 

ACTION TAKEN: All previous coatings were removed by power Grinding. And proposed system was applied with spray.

 

RESULTS ACHIEVED: Coating was done in May 2008, and still intact & there is no complaint received, however company has given many repeat orders for several heat resistant applications.

 

4. UGAM HEAT REFLECTIVE PAINT:

Product having Thermal insulation, Water proof and elastomeric properties. It is used for exterior coating of Roof Top of Buildings, Concrete, Terraces, Asbestos sheets, Industrial Sheds, and places requiring thermal insulation and waterproofing.

 

CASE STUDY:

COMPANY: M/s TATA JAGUAR PLANT CHINCHWAD.

 

PROBLEM REPORTED: This shed was covered with GI sheets all over the plant. In summer they faced union issues reporting heated shop floor. Air condition was one option with recurring costs. Other option was this paint with ceramic microsphere based technology which repels radiations towards source side with no recurring cost.

 

PROPOSED SOLUTION        : Application of UGAM INSULMIX with THERMAL INSULATION was proposed with lux reducing Compound.

 

ACTION TAKEN: Entire Clear sheets were coated with proposed System.

 

RESULTS ACHIEVED: Lux level was reduced to required level. Shop floor Temperature was reduced by 8 degrees C. These coatings are being used by almost entire Tata Group e.g. TATA TOYO RADIATORS LTD., TATA JOHNSON LTD. Etc.

 

5. UGAM WATER PROOFING COATING

These coatings are used over terraces and walls to prevent water leakages during rainy season. First very thin material  called base coat is applied to the surface to penetrate through and block micro pores causing seepages through the surface. Then the surface is checked and cracks are observed over the surface. These cracks are then opened with angle grinder to 5mm wide X 5mm deep. Then these cracks are filled with UGAM ACRYLIC SEALANT. After curing of sealant, three coats of UGAM ELASTOMERIC COATING is applied without thinning the material. This will provide thick coating to surface. Being elastomeric, it will take additional care of expansion and contraction of the surface.

 

CASE STUDY:

 

COMPANY: MAHARASHTRA HOUSING DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION COLONY AT MORWADI, PIMPRI.

 

PROBLEM REPORTED: LEAKAGES AND SEEPAGES ALL OVER FROM WALL.

 

PROPOSED SOLUTION        : APPLICATION OF UGAM INSULMIX SYSTEM.

 

ACTION TAKEN: ENTIRE BUILDING WAS COATED WITH UGAM INSULMIX FROM EXTERIOR WITH DESIRED COLOR SHADE.

 

RESULTS ACHIEVED: COATING WAS COMPELTED IN 2006 AND TILL DATE THERE IS NO COMPLAINT ABOUT ANY LEAKAGE OR SEEPAGE FROM ANY OF THE BUILDING.
